Storyteller
All students (Prep - 6) are taking part in a Global Classroom project called ‘The Magic Garden’.
The project began with a visit to Murrumbeena Primary School from Cora Zon, a professional storyteller.
The children enjoyed listening to 3 interesting folktales:
The Blue Cocoon
The Magic Garden
The Empty Pot

I think Cora’s storytelling was really fantastic. She used a lot of expression with her hands, face and voice.

We liked the stories Cora picked and the way she told them. She performed with expression and made it easy to understand. We think she was very brave getting up in front of so many people to tell stories. We wish her all the best for the future.

Cora was great! My favourite story was The Empty Pot. I wish she could come back again.

I liked Cora’s story telling because the stories were fantastic and enjoyable to listen to. I liked her use of facial expressions. The story I liked the most was the Magic Garden. Keep up the good work Cora!

We thought Cora used very good expresion in all of the stories she told. She put us into a trance and we really enjoyed it. Our favourite story was The Blue Cocoon.

We thought Cora was really good. It was exciting as well. The way she spoke sounded amazing
and it was amazing how she remembered all the lines. She was really good and we enjoyed it.

We both liked The Blue Cocoon and we thought Cora spoke clearly and really nicely. She made us draw a picture of the stories in our heads. She did a really good job. Thank you Cora.

I think Cora was great! I have never seen anyone tell stories that expressive. I’m also amazed how she remembered all those words. Wow! My favourite story was The Blue Cocoon. It was magic!

We both loved hearing the story ‘The Blue Cocoon’. Cora used so much expression and used different voices for different people. We think that Cora loved the stories as much as we did; she was the best story teller we have ever hearded.

Cora was a very interesting story teller. Her expression when she was telling us was really cool. I liked how she changed her voice every time a different person was talking. Her stories were also interesting.

I think Cora did an excellent job at story telling. The way she used her voice was unbelievable. It must have taken soooo much practice. The way she used her hands was great also.

I think Cora was a really good story teller. She used lots of expression by using her hands, face and the way she talked. I loved the stories that she told.

The week before last week, we saw storytelling. Her name was Cora and she was very good at making the story sound exciting. She used her voice well and it made me want to hear more. One of the stories she told was about a Magic Garden. I loved that story more then any story she told, though her stories were all good. I clapped until my hands were red and hurt.

I thought The Magic Garden was really good. It was exciting and entertaining. Cora did a magnificent and fascinating job. The sound of her expression was good because she changed it.

I think that Cora is an amazing storyteller she has amazing expression with her face, hands and the way she speaks. I think it is a real skill to go in front of a lot of kids and make them feel interested.

Cora did a really good job at telling the story. She had lots of expression and made the story interesting and exciting to hear.

It was great! All of the stories where in such detail. The first story was about a boy who didn’t get any lollies on Halloween. He met a lady and she gave him a blue cocoon with a gold string tied to the end of it. If he did a small tug of the sting he would go 1 hour into the future and a big tug about 20 years.
We both think that Cora was a fantastic story teller!

Cora was the best, it was so entertaining. I wish I could read stories like that, I have never sat still for that long, it takes real talent to do that. I hope we will see you again soon.
