Storyteller

All students (Prep - 6) are taking part in a Global Classroom project called ‘The Magic Garden’.

The project began with a visit to Murrumbeena Primary School from Cora Zon, a professional storyteller.

The children enjoyed listening to 3 interesting folktales:

The Blue Cocoon
The Magic Garden
The Empty Pot

    I liked Cora’s story telling because the stories were fantastic and enjoyable to listen to. I liked her use of facial expressions. The story I liked the most was the Magic Garden. Keep up the good work Cora!

    We both loved hearing the story ‘The Blue Cocoon’. Cora used so much expression and used different voices for different people. We think that Cora loved the stories as much as we did; she was the best story teller we have ever hearded.

    Cora was a very interesting story teller. Her expression when she was telling us was really cool. I liked how she changed her voice every time a different person was talking. Her stories were also interesting.

    I think Cora did an excellent job at story telling. The way she used her voice was unbelievable. It must have taken soooo much practice. The way she used her hands was great also.

    The week before last week, we saw storytelling. Her name was Cora and she was very good at making the story sound exciting. She used her voice well and it made me want to hear more. One of the stories she told was about a Magic Garden. I loved that story more then any story she told, though her stories were all good. I clapped until my hands were red and hurt.

    It was great! All of the stories where in such detail. The first story was about a boy who didn’t get any lollies on Halloween. He met a lady and she gave him a blue cocoon with a gold string tied to the end of it. If he did a small tug of the sting he would go 1 hour into the future and a big tug about 20 years.
    We both think that Cora was a fantastic story teller!

    Cora was the best, it was so entertaining. I wish I could read stories like that, I have never sat still for that long, it takes real talent to do that. I hope we will see you again soon.
